Synopsis

When a brilliant former classmate of Spock's develops a bizarre device that can bridge parallel worlds, it's up to the crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise to save more than just our universe.  Dispatched to the world of Pollux II to guard Armand St. John's invention, the crew of the Enterprise quickly realizes that the potential dangers of the device – designed to seek out individuals from alternate universes and draw them into our own – far outweigh its benefits. But can anyone wrest control of this fearsome power from its creator?  Kirk, Spock, Chekov and the landing party plan to give it their all – while McCoy, Uhura, Sulu and Scotty battle an attempted takeover of the Enterprise itself!
